39 weeks...

And we're still here. By that I mean, the babe is still not quite ready to make their debut. Soon, though, soon.

Ready for some exciting news?

This weekend, we were surprised. By our dear friends. Audrie and Jeff conspired to host a "diaper party" at our house. After spending a deliciously sunny day outside at the park on Saturday with Jonathan Steel (we are so excited that he's living here now!), we were surprised at Dairy Queen by Ms. Pattenn... with Dwayne and Candice in tow! I wasn't expecting to see them until this coming weekend and didn't even know they were in the Northwest yet. What makes a sunny day even better? Sharing it with your best friends.

We took them to Brown's Point to take in a super gorgeous Northwest sunset, and view of the mountains. And we skipped rocks. And we lounged, and laughed, and chatted.

And then we went back to our house, which they had decorated, and were surprised by about 15 people in our house, and boxes and boxes (and boxes!) of diapers! It was so good to see so many friends, and from so many different parts of our lives. I love that we're welcoming our little bebe into this crazy friend family mix.

This week, we're loving having a full house of visitors: Dwayne and Candice are here exploring the PNW, and it is so great to have Jonathan just be able to drop by for dinner or to say hi. And Jeff is staying with us this week, too.
