Our sweet girl is growing so so fast. It makes my heart burst with how quickly she is getting the hand of things, and then in an instant - I blink back a few tears, knowing that these moments are too quickly coming and going.
She is the essence of patience and perseverance - and the master of opportunity: when Nate puts down a toy (read: looses interest in something for another thing.) she is like a lightning bolt across the room to get it, inspect it with her eager learning eyes, pass it from one hand to the other - just to make sure it's the same in both hands, and then (inevitably...) puts it in her mouth - remember kids at 6-9months? Everything goes in the mouth.
I cannot say enough about how quickly that little love will flash you a smile. She's got such a kind heart - it's the sort of thing you can see already in her.
Her giggle really gets going these days, and when she starts to giggle, she makes herself giggle more. It's adorable.
We had her 6-month check up and she is soaring through the milestones: solid foods? check! crawling? check! pulling herself up on things? um, yes. Babbling? yes!
Today, we were at the gym and I was pounding away on the treadmill while the kids were exploring the play area. I looked up and saw this:
Yep: that's Brooke try to climb on the giant foam obstacles.
(Just a reminder folks, she is just 6 months old.)
