Catch-up (or Catsup?)

It's hard to believe that it's the 20th of January. Already. Really, where has 2010 taken off to?!

In a quick game of catch-up, here's what we've been up to over the last month:

The house
We're all moved it! And we are so loving it. I think just about everything is out of boxes - we're still unpacking that dastardly "junk drawer" box. Y'know, it's always that last one that gets unpacked (and the last one to be packed!) and you always think "Why do we have this...?" but, it's the drawer that when you need that little knick-knack or random piece of stick tack, that's the place to go to. Currently, our junk drawer is still in a box. Sitting on the floor. In the pantry.

We're adjusting to things like what to set the thermostat at, and do we leave the porch light on all day so that we can see when we get home at night to unlock the door?

And we're loving that we don't have (any where!) a wall of boxes that serves as "storage." We love that the desk is not in the living room, and the living room is not the only space to hangout.

Greg has been into all kinds of projects (this week: he mowed the lawn, fixed a few lights, and looked into getting more insulating in the attic). And he's loving that part of the house, too.


The Baby
Is growing! Officially today we're at 32 weeks, and the baby is moving and shaking like a dance-floor rockstar.
 
We went to the ocean over the long weekend, and our in-house photographer extraordinaire, Audrie, took some great pictures of the baby bump for us.  While it was freezing, it was well worth the trip out there, and a great relaxing few days. On the way back, we stopped at the wildlife refuge where Greg proposed to me (see the picture at right).


The holidays!
We hosted the Gause family for Christmas eve at our place (which made for a crazy few days, but well worth it. It totally helps me to have lots of people over in the first month that we live in a place - makes the unpacking happen much faster!) The whole Gause family was in town for this Christmas, and it was so fun to see Luke, our nephew, really get in to the unwrapping of presents.

 
We headed to New Mexio to see the Woodrow/Markowski tribe for the post-Christmas holiday, and spent six amazing days soaking in the (very cold) sunshine. We were surprised with about a foot of snow - which made for some awesome sledding!  More than anything, the best part about the holidays was being able to hang out with family.

And one random thing

Audrie and I had the brilliant idea to bring back 1995. Relive our 6th grad year. I mean, who doesn't love a little reminiscing about middle school? You might ask how we revived 1995 and brought it back?
