The house is empty, the truck is full (and so are our cars!). It's offical: our move is underway. We're enjoying our last few days in the northwest - thanks for the sunshine, PNW! - and will start our drive on Monday for the midwest.
We'll be driving through some of America's garden spots: northern Idaho, Montana, Wyoming. Try not to be jealous. We'll think of you as the tumbleweeds literally roll across the freeway. Really, though, there are some perks:
- The speed limit is at least 70 in most of those states.
- We will be able to swing by Yellowstone (I'm excited! Greg keeps telling me just how far off the freeway it is. Eh, I think at that point, it'll be a necessary stop for us all to get some fresh air!)
- We'll visit some new states that we've never been to
- And most importantly, we'll be that much closer to getting settled in Oklahoma
We're stocking up on great road trip snacks, and new, fun (limited pieces) toys for Nate to entertain himself for the drive. I'll do my best to update from the road, but you may hear from us again when we're sporting "Y'all" and tipping our hats to keep the wind and dust out of our eyes.
Drink a cool glass of lemonade for us as we drive through America's heat wave country.
Drive safely!!! Thinking about you and jealous of all the gorgeous American scenery you'll get to drive through!
