This morning, a quad-shot espresso would not have helped the day wake up (er... I mean me. Me wake up.). It was just one of those mornings.
Because...
Nate greeted me at my bed-side at 7am, with his flip flops on (yes, this is a new skill. He gets them on and on the correct feet!) pleading - no, demanding? - to go outside and play baseball.
While making breakfast for the three of us (Greg had an early morning today), I peeked around the corner to see where Nate and Brooke were. Nate - playing soccer down the hallway and reminding me repeatedly that he wanted to play outside (baseball, remember?) and Brooke... sweet Brooke has taken to climbing. So, she was on top of the train table, of course. It's a whole new world in our house with our newest accomplished climber.
Also, tomorrow is Nate's last ENT check-up after his tubes surgery. Very exciting. But it is a bit dampened by this: today, Brooke was diagnosed with her very first ear infection... and I feel like we may be still on the same circus train for a while.
And...Brooke climbs up the slide at the park now. And she loves - loves - the seesaw. And the swings. She just really loves the park (and that may totally have something to do with Nate's love of the park, too).
