Today, I did 5 loads of laundry. And by did, I really mean just washed and dried. Which means, of course, that there is literally a mountain (by geological standard, certainly) of laundry. SO, that's my project for the rest of the week: to climb the mountain.
But in really much more important, and exciting things:
Our sweet Brooke is really really chatting up a storm! She's pointing out her eyes, and noes (at which she will also gently reach across, squeeze your nose and say "beep, beep!"), toes, hair, and shoes. She's got a whole cast of animal characters that she'll proudly tell you what they say (her best, I think, it the duck. It's so bold and declarative. Really. It's pretty spectacular!) and she has taken a few cues from her big brother and is developing a mighty fine form tackle of him.
And Nate continues to keep me running, running, running! He's taking swimming lessons and tumbling, and of course still takes in his daily practice of any other sport he can fathom up. It's amazing how tuned your ear can get to deciphering the conversation of a 2 year old, but I think he's really growing into quite the conversationalist that other people can even understand!
And, we are loving a February with temperatures in the 70s. Can you imagine?!!? I've been wearing flip flops, and Nate has been wearing shorts. It's lovely. Odd, just just positively delightful. Yep, we're staying with my parents for a few weeks, and loving a little extra playtime. It means we get to do things like canoe on the Colorado River (see left), and go to the Rodeo (the kids love to see the horses), play outside, and just hang out.
In case I hadn't mentioned: we're in moving limbo... and if we have to be in limbo, it sure is nice to have it be wear-flip-flops-play-lots kind of limbo.
How are you?

Live, Love , Laugh. You all do it wonderfully. I love the way you embrace family and how you express it in your writing. The wonderful milestones of Nate and Brooke are adorable to read.
