Surviving

So... the kids and I have been kicking up our heals in Texas, while Greg has been completing various training courses to finalize his year of other trainings. (Follow that?)

And we've kept busy - but that's normal.

Nate and Brooke have been taking swim lessons (and Nate has also been tumbling!) and they've been doing great! Well, honestly - seven weeks ago, Nate would barely get in the water, but now he's jumping in like a champ, swimming to the side of the pool, and loving every minute. Really, I couldn't be more proud. The cool part about the swim and tumble school we've been attending?  When you graduate a level, the stand you on a medal stand, cheer and hoot and holler for you, give you a medal and ribbons of achievement, and you get to ring a bell to let everyone know that you've accomplished the goals for that level! Nate got to go through the ceremony twice - once for swimming and once for tumbling. He was so proud - and so was I.

Brooke is jumping in the pool all by herself, too, and she loves to go down the slide is getting great at kicking with a kick board.

And, we've had a great time exploring San Antonio, too. We went to the local natural history museum for the opening day of the dinosaur exhibit. It was going great - until the kids hear the roar of the model TRex they had set up in the lobby. Then, suddenly, the grilled cheese and french fried down the street sounded way more appealing, and so we dug for fossils (it was the fastest fossil dig you've ever seen), and hit the road.
