Our sweet little man turned three! It's hard to even wrap my brain around in some moments. But he's every bit three, and so good at being three.
He is so funny. He has picked up some amazing catch phrases (And come up with some on his own, too) that crack us up: at dinner the other night, he was having peaches and there was one that was really slippery and so he said "what the heck, peach! C'mon, get on the fork."
He is so adventurous. Let me also say that he's a pretty cautious little guy, but once he figures something out or that he can actually scale the tree - there's no stopping him. Recently, he's figured out how to stand on the footboard of his bed, and with one hand on the door jam and one foot on the bed, he reaches around the corner grips the hallway wall with his other foot and turns on the light in the hallway. He is so proud of this new trick he's discovered.
He is so tender. When he's not playing any sport with a ball (though recently, he has also decided that he likes to "run the races" on the track and he pretends to throw the shot put, complete with the spin and jumping on one leg), he loves to cuddle and read a book. There's something that never gets old about your child wanting to give you a hug and read a story.
For his birthday, we took him to the zoo - and got a membership (totally worth it!). And then when the events of Easter passed, we had friends and family over for a party to reveal his big birthday present: a trampoline. He. is. loving. it. This morning, before 8 am, he asked 73 times to go jump (no exaggeration.)
Happy birthday to our sweet, funny, silly, adventurous Nate!
