No, you have not missed a major announcement. Sarah was at a church youth retreat with Seth, so Greg and I got to hang out with the four younger Markowski's. We made a activity-filled weekend of it: valentine making, movie watching, go-to-a-theatre-showing (Alice in Wonderland), enjoy a new restaurant (DogTown, where they mostly only serve hotdogs, piled on with crazy toppings. The tamest version (other than plain) is the Chicago Dog. That should tell you something.) The boys played racquet ball and basketball with Greg, and the girls and I painted toe nails and baked. (And we found out that it is World Nutella Day today, so we baked a nutella cake.)
It was a good weekend.
In other news, Brooke and Nate and I all have the sniffles. And of course, that means that Nate also has an ear infection.
So, he's getting tubes in his ears. Hopefully, by the end of the month, we'll be back on track with a healthy little man - who stays that way for more than 10 days.
Greg starts formation flying this week - the last phase of this current airplane. The countdown begins: in a little over a month, he will have graduated from this airplane and begun training in the next - the T1 Texan. It's a phase we're excited about.

Also - Nate has learned the art of sneaking. When we asked him to, say, not go into the bedroom because Brooke is sleeping and he so desperately needs to go in there, he quietly crawls (and as slinkingly as you can crawl) slowly - with an occasional pause to make it look like he is in fact just sitting on the floor - to the bedroom. Where he shrieks with so much excitement that he has fooled us. (And is now jumping proudly on the bed.)
Happy World Nutella Day to you (oh, and super bowl Sunday, too.)
Thanks for letting me know it was World Nutella day. I have programed this in my calendar for years to come. And in honor of missing it I am going to eat Nutella ALL weekend this weekend :)
