It was lovely. More than lovely. My mom and sister came to town, and my sister, along with two dear friends organized and hosted the soiree for our little one. It was a great gathering of friends from all parts of my life (college, work, book club, family, friends from long ago...). My clever sister also came up with the idea of giving a gift new life. It was a super cool chance for people to share a bit about themselves with our family. Friends gifted us with blankets and teddy bears from their children or childhood, books that they enjoyed reading, outfits, hats, and music. It was such a sweet gesture.

For me, there is nothing like having family in town. For 36 hours or 36 days, it's always so good to have mia familia here. On the schedule for this visit? A complete girlie weekend: we shopped (at great consignment shops!), we laughed, we ate great chocolate, and we stayed up late. It was such a good weekend.
